Terms of Service

Effective 2026-06-06 · Last updated 2026-07-10

Agreement

Switchback (the website, mobile apps, and related services) is operated by TwofoldTech LLC("Switchback," "we," "us"). By using Switchback, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Switchback.

Riding safety & assumption of risk

Switchback is a motorcycle navigation and community platform, provided as a riding companion — not a substitute for safe riding practices, traffic laws, or your own judgment.

Riding a motorcycle is inherently dangerous, and you assume that risk. Routes, maps, ETAs, curve counts, surface notes, and seasonal data may be inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. Always ride within your skill, your bike's limits, road and weather conditions, and the law. Never read, tap, or operate a screen while the bike is moving. You alone are responsible for how, when, and where you ride.

Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens through your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, email support@switchback-moto.com.

You must be at least 16 to create an account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Switchback to break the law or harass other users
  • Submit POIs, reviews, or content that is false, defamatory, or infringes others' rights
  • Attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or rate-limit-circumvent the service
  • Resell Switchback or its data without written permission
  • Upload malware or spam

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the community.

Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit (POI reviews, photos, route notes, comments, and other posts). By submitting it, you grant Switchback a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and share that content within the service. We may remove content that violates these terms.

Community content & moderation

Switchback includes community features — photos, comments, ride posts, and other user-generated content that other riders can see. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Switchback. You agree not to post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or that targets or bullies other riders, and not to use the service to abuse, stalk, or harass anyone.

To keep the community safe, we provide tools inside the app and on the web:

  • Report any photo, comment, or post you find objectionable — reports are reviewed and acted on, and offending content is removed.
  • Block any rider so you no longer see their content and they can no longer interact with you.
  • Rider photos are screened before they appear publicly, and content that violates these terms is removed.

We act on reports of objectionable content or abusive users within 24 hours — removing the content and, where warranted, suspending or terminating the account responsible. To report abuse or content concerns, use the in-app report and block controls or email support@switchback-moto.com.

Pricing

The web is free to use. The mobile app has a free tier and a Pro tier (subscription or lifetime). Pricing is shown on our Pricing page and may change with notice. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

Refunds

Subscription refunds follow the policies of the app store where you purchased. Lifetime purchases are refundable within 14 days of purchase if you have not used Pro features substantially.

Disclaimers

SWITCHBACK IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DON'T GUARANTEE THAT ROUTES, POIs, ETA ESTIMATES, OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT. YOU RELY ON THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Switchback and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless Switchback from claims arising out of your use of the service or your violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Missouri.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.

These terms are a good-faith template for TwofoldTech LLC's pre-launch Switchback Moto site and are not legal advice. Bracketed placeholders and limits of liability will be reviewed and finalized by counsel before the app launches publicly.
