Bankhead National Forest Loop (AL-33 / AL-195)
A 46-mile loop through William B. Bankhead National Forest — Alabama's largest national forest and home to the only National Wild and Scenic River in the state (Sipsey Fork). The route follows AL-33 from Moulton deep into the Sipsey Wilderness canyon country, then returns via AL-195 toward Double Springs. Constant sweepers along limestone bluffs, four recreation areas, and dozens of waterfalls with almost zero traffic.
