Connecticut Route 45 — Lake Waramaug

A 10-mile north-south route through Washington, Warren, and Cornwall in the Litchfield Hills, CT-45's main draw is its southern section along the eastern shore of Lake Waramaug — a state-designated scenic road skirting the 656-acre lake ringed by low mountains and historic inns. The village of New Preston (also scenic-designated) sits at the south end, and the route climbs into Warren before reaching US-7 at Cornwall to the north. Frequently ridden as part of the Lovely Litchfield Loop with CT-341 and US-7.
