Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch

Established in 1926, Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch at 549 County Road 415 in Samsula is widely recognized as the oldest active biker bar in the Daytona Beach area. The sprawling rural roadhouse sits six miles west of New Smyrna Beach in the Tomoka Farms flatwoods and draws thousands of riders during Bike Week and Biketoberfest. Famous for coleslaw wrestling, live country and rock bands, cold beer served out of galvanized tubs, and a laid-back atmosphere that feels like a permanent cookout. Mailing address uses New Smyrna Beach but the physical location is in unincorporated Samsula.

A 98-year-old institution that feels exactly like what it is — a legendary dirt-lot biker bar in the Florida backwoods, worlds away from the Daytona strip. Worth the short detour off US-1 at any time of year.
