US-76 Lookout Mountain Scenic Highway
US-76 traverses 150 miles across northern Georgia from Tennessee to South Carolina, with the standout motorcycle section running roughly 60 miles from Blairsville east through Young Harris and Hiawassee to Clayton in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This stretch crosses the Appalachian Trail, parallels Lake Chatuge, and passes through the Chattahoochee National Forest with consistent mountain curves and minimal commercial interruption. Most of the eastern portion is officially designated the Lookout Mountain Scenic Highway.
