Woody Gap Recreation Area

A National Forest pull-off on GA-60 between Suches and Dahlonega where the Appalachian Trail crosses the highway. Picnic tables and a vault toilet flank both sides of the road, with open views down into the Yahoola Valley. Woody Gap is one of the six named mountain passes on the Six-Gap motorcycle loop and serves as a natural halfway point on the GA-60 run north toward Two Wheels of Suches.
