Flint Hills National Scenic Byway (K-177)
K-177 rolls 47 miles through one of the last intact tallgrass prairie ecosystems between Council Grove and Cassoday, with open sweepers over the Flint Hills. The Cassoday Bike Run on the first Sunday of each month, March through October, is Kansas's largest motorcycle gathering.

Strong City
Small town at the gateway to the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, whose visitor entrance sits just north of town along K-177.
Cottonwood Falls
County-seat town a mile off the highway with the landmark Chase County Courthouse, plus food and fuel.
Cassoday
Southern end of the byway, self-styled "Prairie Chicken Capital" — host of the monthly Cassoday Bike Run (first Sunday, March-October).
