The Rattlesnake (KY-192)

Kentucky Route 192 runs 40 miles from London to Somerset through the foothills of Daniel Boone National Forest, but its 12-mile core section earned the nickname 'The Rattlesnake' — and in 2016 the Kentucky Legislature made it official, becoming the only state-named motorcycle road in Kentucky. The signature stretch packs roughly 150 turns into those 12 miles, winding past Buck Creek and the Kentucky River at Bee Rock with forest canopy overhead. The Souvenir Shack at 'Brake on the Snake' (8855 KY-192, Somerset) is the traditional rider rest stop with merchandise and refreshments. Pavement quality is excellent throughout.
