Laconia bills itself as the oldest motorcycle rally in the world, running since 1916 — nine June days across New Hampshire's Lakes Region, centered on Weirs Beach. That history is the draw as much as the event: this is where American rally culture started.

The setting gives riders more than a main drag. The Lakes Region and the nearby White Mountains put real riding within easy reach of the rally, so the week splits naturally between the Weirs Beach scene and days out on the surrounding roads. Recent editions have drawn somewhere between 225,000 and 300,000 people.
