The 12th Annual Colonial Beach Bike Fest draws 30,000+ visitors to the Chesapeake waterfront town of Colonial Beach (65 miles from DC, 75 miles from Richmond) for four days of bikes, bands, beaches, and food. The event features live concerts across three stages, a motorcycle show, vendor village, and organized rides including the Defenders of Freedom Ride. Run by the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce since 2014.

A Potomac River waterfront town with 30,000+ riders converging for four days puts bikes, live rock music, and an organized veterans' honor ride all within walking distance of the water — and general admission to the festival grounds and main stage is free.

Started in 2014 by the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce, this October gathering on Virginia's Northern Neck has grown from a small local weekend into a four-day event drawing more than 30,000 visitors. The compact festival footprint — centered on Town Hill and the Boardwalk — means you park once and walk to everything: vendor village, food trucks, beer garden, and multiple live stages running through the evening.

The motorcycle show is a Saturday anchor, with judging across classes that include stock, full custom, dresser, antique, trike and sidecar, metric, and best paint. The Defenders of Freedom Ride kicks off the weekend on Friday — a free, police-escorted military and veterans appreciation ride that departs from Triangle, VA and finishes in Colonial Beach. Live music runs across multiple stages throughout the event, with southern rock a consistent presence on the main stage.

Colonial Beach sits 65 miles from Washington, D.C. and about 75 miles from Richmond, making it an accessible fall ride from most of the Mid-Atlantic. Rooms and restaurants fill early — book accommodation well ahead of the event.
