The 22nd Annual Mountains, Music & Motorcycles is Mountain View's signature biker rally, held on the Historic Town Square and hosted by the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce. The two-day event features biker games, a poker run, a town-wide scavenger hunt, and a bike and car show, all set in the heart of the Ozark folk music capital. Mountain View sits at the convergence of Push Mountain Road (AR-341) and the AR-14/Buffalo River corridor, making it the natural end-point for multiple iconic Arkansas motorcycle routes.

The rally puts a two-day program of biker games, a poker run, live music, and a bike-and-car show right on the Historic Town Square.

Now in its 22nd year, Mountains, Music & Motorcycles is Mountain View's signature biker rally, organized by the Mountain View Area Chamber of Commerce and set on the Historic Town Square in the heart of downtown. The event draws riders and visitors from across the region for a weekend that pairs motorcycle culture with the town's identity as the Folk Music Capital of the World — live performances run throughout both days alongside the rally activities.

On the ground, the weekend includes a poker run that routes riders out onto the surrounding Ozark mountain roads, biker games and contests (beard contest, pepper-eating contest, cornhole, and more), a town-wide scavenger hunt, and a bike-and-car show. Merchandise, food, and drink vendors fill the square, and the event is free to attend.

The riding context is a genuine draw. Push Mountain Road (AR-341) packs over 100 curves into roughly 25 miles through the Ozark National Forest and is noted by multiple sources as demanding respect — narrow shoulders, variable pavement in spots, and wildlife on the road are real considerations. AR-14 connects the Buffalo National River corridor to Mountain View, rounding out a loop that many riders use to arrive or depart the rally.

AR-23 — Pig Trail & the Boston Mountains

Arkansas Highway 23 is one of the best-known motorcycle roads in the Ozarks, winding through the Boston Mountains and the Ozark National Forest of northwest Arkansas. Its heart is the official 19-mile Pig Trail Scenic Byway — a tight, tree-canopied climb famous for its endless curves — but riders run AR-23 well beyond that section, and the full highway shown here is a long, twisty ride in its own right. It threads Ozark and the National Forest, crosses the Mulberry River at Turner Bend, and continues north past St. Paul and Huntsville toward Eureka Springs. Plan fuel around the bigger towns; the forest stretches are remote and services are thin.

Arkansas Highway 16 Ozark Skyway

The central section of Arkansas Highway 16 — roughly 72 miles from Fayetteville east to its junction with AR-7 in the Ozark National Forest — delivers one of the state's most underrated ridge-top rides. The road climbs through Elkins and then becomes progressively more serpentine as it gains the Ozark highland plateau, passing through communities including Lurton, Deer, Witts Springs, and Ben Hur before crossing AR-123 and dropping to Sand Gap near AR-7. The route briefly joins the Pig Trail corridor near Brashears and shares a concurrency with AR-21 in Newton County, forming part of the official Ozark Highlands Scenic Byway. Rider Magazine called it a candidate for "Ozarks Scenic Highlands Skyway" — one of the least-trafficked and most scenic highways in the state.
