Born-Free Motorcycle ShowJun 27–28, 2026 · California
A large invitational custom and chopper motorcycle show in Southern California, held each June at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado. Founded in 2009, it has grown into an iconic gathering drawing around 25,000 people. The 17th annual edition runs June 27–28, 2026.
The heart of the show is the Invited Builder Show, where builders from around the world debut one-off customs made just for this event — it's where American chopper and custom culture shows its best work.
Born-Free started in 2009 when Mike Davis and Grant Peterson put together a casual gathering of vintage choppers in Orange County, California, because there wasn't a show that fit those bikes. Over the years since, it has grown into one of the defining custom-motorcycle events in the country, drawing around 25,000 people and more than 200 vendors and sponsors to Oak Canyon Park in Silverado each June.
The draw is the Invited Builder Show: builders from around the world spend the year creating one-off machines they debut here, alongside an AMCA regional swap meet, live music, and the show's long-running tradition of giving away motorcycles. It remains a back-to-basics show that welcomes all makes and models, with a laid-back, family-friendly feel rather than a corporate one.
The 17th annual edition runs June 27–28, 2026. Check the official site for tickets, the builder lineup, and the current schedule before you plan your ride out to the Santa Ana Mountains.
