The Rock Store is the Savko family's stone roadhouse on Mulholland Highway, serving riders since 1963 and open Friday through Sunday. On weekends it becomes the gathering point for the Los Angeles canyon-riding scene — Motorcycle Classics called it "the most famous motorcycle stop in Southern California, if not the world."

What makes it more than a cafe is where it sits. The Rock Store anchors the Malibu canyon network, and those roads feed straight down to the Pacific Coast Highway, so it works as the start, middle, or end of a day spent linking Mulholland to the ocean.

Time your visit to the weekend hours, and expect the parking lot itself to be half the show.
