Delaware Coastal Highway (DE-1)

A 30-mile ocean-and-bay corridor running south from Lewes through Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, and Delaware Seashore State Park to Fenwick Island at the Maryland border. South of Dewey Beach the road enters a narrow barrier-island strip with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and Indian River Bay on the other, highlighted by the Charles W. Cullen Bridge (Indian River Inlet Bridge), a modern cable-stay span opened in 2012. Best ridden in fall or early spring to avoid summer resort traffic; the stretch through Delaware Seashore State Park (6.3 miles of protected land) is the scenic core.

Brandywine Valley National Scenic Byway (DE-52 / DE-100)

A 12.25-mile Y-shaped National Scenic Byway running north from Rodney Square in Wilmington to the Pennsylvania state line through northern New Castle County. The main arm follows DE-52 (Kennett Pike) through the wooded estate corridors of Greenville and Centerville, passing Winterthur Museum, Hagley Museum, Nemours Mansion, and Brandywine Creek State Park. The shorter alternate arm branches off along DE-100 (Montchanin Road) through the village of Montchanin. Rolling hills and canopied curves through the historic Du Pont 'Chateau Country' make this the most technically engaging riding in an otherwise flat state. Designated a Delaware Byway in 2002 and a Federal National Scenic Byway in 2005.

Cape Henlopen State Park — The Point

The tip of the sandy peninsula where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. Riders enter via Lewes on Cape Henlopen Drive and park near the beach access; the overlook delivers panoramic water views and, in winter, access to the hiking spit itself. WWII fire-control towers are also visible on the way in.

The Lewes dock of the 85-minute, 17-mile Delaware Bay crossing to Cape May, NJ. The ferry actively courts motorcycle riders with dedicated boarding procedures, group rates, and seasonal moto-only sailings tied to Ocean City Bike Week and Rolling Thunder. Grain on the Rocks pub is inside the terminal building for pre- or post-ride eats with bay views.
