Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge
A 10,000-acre coastal marsh refuge on the western Delaware Bay shore along the Bayshore Byway (DE-9 corridor). The visitor center at 11978 Turkle Pond Road is free to access; riders follow Route 16 east off Route 1 to reach brackish impoundments, migratory bird concentrations, and bay overlooks that are among the flattest and most scenic stretches in the state.
Sits directly on the Bayshore Byway corridor with a free, year-round visitor center and sweeping tidal marsh views — a natural breathing stop between Milton and Lewes.
Shot by the riders who've run it.
