Kirkham Hot Springs
Natural thermal springs where 149°F water cascades over basalt ledges into a series of soaking pools along the South Fork Payette River, just off ID-21 (Banks-Lowman Road) at 4,000 ft elevation. Managed by the Boise National Forest; free access. Multiple pools at varying temperatures are formed by the mix of river and spring water. A short walk from the road.
Perfect mid-ride soak on the Banks-Lowman / ID-21 corridor — a twisty, canyon-carved route that connects Boise to the Sawtooth region. Bring a towel and budget 30-60 minutes.
