Post Rock Scenic Byway (K-232)
An 18-mile State Scenic Byway on K-232 connecting Lucas and Wilson through the Smoky Hills of north-central Kansas. The route is named for the fencepost limestone outcrops early settlers quarried in lieu of wood, leaving hundreds of distinctive stone fence posts still standing along roadsides and across fields. Nearly half the route runs adjacent to Wilson Lake. A short but concentrated ride through the geology that defines the region's identity.
