Bayou Teche Byway (LA-31 / LA-182)
A 125-mile National Scenic Byway following the Bayou Teche waterway from Arnaudville south to Morgan City through St. Martin, Iberia, and St. Mary parishes. LA-31 and LA-182 wind together along a former channel of the Mississippi River, passing Spanish moss-draped live oaks, antebellum homes, cane fields, and Cajun towns including Breaux Bridge, St. Martinville, New Iberia, and Franklin. The road traces the heart of the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area at a relaxed, flat pace.
