Good Hart General Store

Good Hart General Store has been sitting right on M-119 since 1934, making it the oldest business on the Tunnel of Trees and the only commercial stop in the unincorporated village of Good Hart itself. The store sits at the intersection of Robinson Road and M-119, 14 miles north of Harbor Springs and 7 miles south of Cross Village — roughly the midpoint of the corridor — which is exactly why it became a natural gathering point for riders working the route.

Under one small roof the store runs a deli, a full bakery, a general grocery, and a U.S. Post Office. The store's own website includes a dedicated Biker Corner page, a straightforward acknowledgment of how many motorcyclists pass through. M-119 itself was designated a Scenic Heritage Route and carries the narrow, centerline-free character that draws riders; the store gives you a legitimate reason to slow down, park, and eat something before continuing north or south.

Note that the kitchen is closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly if food is the goal. Gas is nearby but not at the store itself — confirm your fuel situation before pulling off, since the stretch between Harbor Springs and Cross Village offers limited services otherwise.
