M-119 "Tunnel of Trees"
Michigan's only state highway without a centerline, M-119 winds about 20 miles from Harbor Springs to Cross Village under a dense hardwood canopy with roughly 135 curves, the tightest at Devil's Elbow and Horseshoe Curve. The road is narrow and shared with cyclists and oncoming traffic, so the challenge is precision at low speed rather than pace.
