Holly Springs National Forest Scenic Route (MS-5)

MS-5 is a 24-mile state highway in Benton County designated as a Mississippi Scenic Route since March 1989, running from MS-178 at Hickory Flat north to US-72. The road passes through Holly Springs National Forest for much of its length, crosses the Tippah River, and threads through the village of Ashland. Terrain is a mix of wooded national forest corridors, pastoral farmland, and gradual curves — accessible for all skill levels while still offering genuine forest character in a corner of the state most riders overlook.
