Tenn-Tom Hill Country (MS-30)

MS-30 runs 91 miles east-west across four counties — Lafayette, Union, Prentiss, and Tishomingo — from Oxford to the Natchez Trace Parkway at Mingo. The western section crosses the Tallahatchie River and passes through Holly Springs National Forest; the eastern half transitions into genuinely hilly, wooded terrain as the road climbs into the Appalachian foothills of Tishomingo County, crossing the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway on a bridge near Paden before terminating at the Natchez Trace interchange adjacent to Tishomingo State Park. Relatively light traffic on a road that gains real character as it nears the Alabama line.
