Philipsburg Brewery & Town Center
Philipsburg is a well-preserved 1880s silver-mining town on the Pintler Scenic Highway, home to the Philipsburg Brewing Company — a popular rider lunch and beer stop. The historic Broadway Street is walkable and lined with original storefronts including the famous Sweet Palace candy shop.
Philipsburg Brewing Company sits in the middle of the Pintler Veterans' Memorial Scenic Byway run, making it the logical place to cut the engine and eat. The brewery operates out of a historic bank building in downtown Philipsburg, and the main street around it — Broadway Street — is lined with original storefronts that date to the town's silver-mining days. It's a short, walkable block, and the Sweet Palace candy shop is there if you need something for the road after lunch.
The brewery itself opened in 2012 and brews with Montana malt and local spring water. It also runs a second location just up the hill from the original taproom. The town sits surrounded by the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, which means the ride in and out — whether you're coming from Anaconda or heading toward Drummond — keeps the scenery working in your favor the whole time.
