The Spring Rally has been running since 1940, making it one of the longest-standing motorcycle rallies in the country. What began as a small coastal gathering has grown into a 10-day, city-wide event spread across Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, and surrounding towns along the Grand Strand. There is no central gate or wristband — riders move freely between anchor venues including Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson, The Rat Hole, and the Beaver Bar, along with dozens of other stops.

On the ground, the rally runs organized rides, bike shows, demo rides, live music, and vendor setups throughout the week. Coastal cruising along US-17 is a daily constant, and day rides toward Georgetown, Charleston, or north toward Wilmington give riders solid road time beyond the rally zone. The Veteran Ride is a recurring organized group event that draws over 200 bikes.

South Carolina law requires helmets for riders and passengers under 21, and the official rally site notes that speeding and traffic laws are strictly enforced during the event. May weather on the Grand Strand is typically warm and humid. Book lodging early — the area fills up well in advance across the full 10-day window.
