Wildcat Branch Falls Wayside

A 30-foot waterfall visible from a large paved pull-off right on the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway (SC-11) in Greenville County, about five miles west of the US-276 junction. Wildcat Branch Creek tumbles in three tiers — the lowest tier is the one visible from the road — into a shallow granite pool. No hiking is required to enjoy the view from the roadside parking area, which holds roughly 15 cars. For those who want to explore further, a short informal path leads toward the upper tiers, and the full Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area hiking system is nearby. The pull-off is on the south side of SC-11 heading west.

Zero effort, maximum reward — pull off SC-11 for 90 seconds and watch a 30-foot waterfall pour into a granite bowl right off the road. Exactly the kind of effortless win that makes the Cherokee Foothills loop so satisfying.
