The Motorcycle Sport Touring Association's annual West Virginia gathering held at Canaan Valley Resort State Park (3,300 ft elevation) in Davis, WV. The rally offers planned riding routes across WV's northern highlands for both street and adventure bikes, plus lodge accommodations, cabin camping, fire pits, and group meals. Multi-year history confirmed: 2023 and 2026 editions documented. Organized rides explore Canaan Valley, Dolly Sods, and the German Valley roads. Coordinator: Chris Shoop, 304-488-9128.

A well-organized MSTA rally based at Canaan Valley Resort State Park gives street and adventure riders access to more than a dozen mapped, GPX-ready routes across West Virginia's northern highlands, with lodge rooms, cabins, and fire-pit evenings all on-site.

The Motorcycle Sport Touring Association has been holding rallies at Canaan Valley Resort State Park since at least the early 2000s, with the club's first visit to the resort dating to 1996. The current regional rally format — documented in 2023 and on the 2026 schedule — runs roughly four days in spring out of the resort in Davis, WV, sitting at 3,300 feet in the Allegheny Mountains and surrounded by the Monongahela National Forest.

Riding is the main event. Organizers pre-build both street and adventure route menus: over a dozen road routes and a half-dozen ADV options are available each day, all downloadable to GPS before you leave the parking lot. ADV routes range from fully paved all-weather loops to mixed gravel-and-dirt tracks that include mild stream crossings, so riders should vet individual routes carefully before committing. The rally is open to all riders regardless of club membership, and there is typically no rally fee.

Back at the resort, riders choose between lodge rooms, multi-bedroom cabins, or camping within the park. Evenings tend to collect people around the fire pits or on the lodge porch comparing notes on the day's roads, and a group cookout closes out the week. The resort also has a pool, an 18-hole golf course, and hiking trails for non-riding days or companions.
