US-33 (Harrisonburg, VA to Elkins, WV)
Among the top-rated motorcycle roads in the East — roughly 80 miles from Harrisonburg, Virginia to Elkins, West Virginia, with 120-degree switchbacks on 8-9 percent grades, the Germany Valley overlook, and the 900-foot Tuscarora sandstone fins of Seneca Rocks. The route block imports US-33 across all of West Virginia, which continues far west of Elkins beyond the celebrated mountain section, and the Virginia climb out of Harrisonburg is not included.
