Upper Mesa Falls

A 114-foot waterfall on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River — one of the largest undisturbed waterfalls in the American West and the centerpiece of the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway (ID-47). A 0.4-mile ADA-accessible boardwalk leads from the parking area to elevated platforms with unobstructed canyon views. $5 Forest Service day-use fee. The historic Big Falls Inn (1906) sits adjacent to the overlook.

Atlas

Anchor stop on the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway, a smooth, lightly-traveled alternative to US-20 that loops through dense lodgepole forest near the Yellowstone plateau. The falls rival anything in Yellowstone without the park-entrance crowds.
