Sabine National Wildlife Refuge
Nearly 125,000-acre coastal marsh refuge on the Creole Nature Trail, home to more than 300 bird species, alligators, and roseate spoonbills. The refuge headquarters sits 8 miles south of Hackberry on LA-27; a 1.5-mile walking marsh trail lets riders stretch their legs amid open water and wildlife directly off the road.
