North Dakota's largest motorcycle event draws riders from across the US and Canada every Father's Day weekend — packing Main Street in a small northeastern ND town with fun runs, biker games, burnouts, live music, vendors, and a raffle for a new motorcycle.

What is now the state's largest motorcycle gathering started as a modest Thursday-night bike night in the small northeastern North Dakota town of Cavalier. Over roughly three decades, it grew into a full weekend event, and the 2026 edition marks the 30th annual. The draw is simple: consistent, back-to-back programming that keeps riders and spectators busy from the moment they arrive.

Action runs across the weekend on Main Street. A guided fun run goes out on Saturday, biker games include a slow race, tattoo contest, fan belt toss, furthest-traveled, and a ride-and-bite contest. A live auction and a raffle drawing for a motorcycle follow in the evening, with burnouts and a free street dance rounding out the night. Food trucks and retail vendors line the street throughout, and a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning wraps things up.

The event is community-organized and community-scaled — not a corporate rally. Lodging in and around Cavalier fills fast, so booking early is practical advice. Bring cash for smaller vendors, raffles, and stops along the fun run route.
