Geese in Flight — Enchanted Highway

The northern anchor of the Enchanted Highway, accessible from I-94 Exit 72 near Gladstone. Standing 110 feet tall and 154 feet wide, this scrap-metal sculpture of Canadian geese soaring against a prairie sunburst holds a Guinness World Record as the world's largest scrap-metal sculpture. Artist Gary Greff built all sculptures along the 32-mile corridor to revitalize the dying town of Regent. A short dirt road off the exit leads to the viewing area.

The sight of a 110-foot welded-steel goose flock rising out of flat prairie is genuinely surreal from a motorcycle. Kickstarts the 32-mile Enchanted Highway ride south to Regent — one of ND's most distinctive back-road detours.
