Pheasants on the Prairie — Enchanted Highway
One of the signature sculptures along the 32-mile Enchanted Highway, situated roughly 24 miles south of I-94 on the road to Regent. The piece features a 40-foot rooster, a 35-foot hen, and three 15-foot chicks — all fabricated from steel by local artist Gary Greff. A parking area with a picnic shelter marks the pull-off on the east side of the highway.
Midpoint of the Enchanted Highway loop; the human-scale isolation of the prairie around the sculptures hits differently from a motorcycle than from inside a car. Picnic table on-site for a break.
