RI-77 — Tiverton to Little Compton
A 14-mile north-south run through one of Rhode Island's quietest corners, paralleling the Sakonnet River tidal channel on its western flank. The road threads past stone-wall-bounded farms, salt marshes, Tiverton Four Corners (18th-century village), Sakonnet Vineyards, and the Emilie Ruecker Wildlife Refuge before reaching the southern terminus near Sakonnet Point and its 1884 lighthouse. Traffic is minimal on weekdays and the pavement is generally smooth. Consistently ranked among RI's best motorcycle roads for pastoral scenery and low-stress riding.
